At Celtic Yurts, we are very much in favor of empowerment through skills and knowledge. There are few things more self-fulfilling than doing something yourself and even more so... If it's a yurt!
That's why we offer you our self-construction workshops. In them you will learn how to make your own yurt and you will return home with your yurt under your arm and ready to install.

You will learn to work wood from its raw state through its processing and final machining.
You will prepare all the structural elements of the yurt: lattice, hoop, beams, frame and if you want... you'll even make the platform yourself!
When you finish the self-construction workshop you will take your Yurt home ready to be installed.
The self-construction process lasts around 7 to 15 working days in 8-hour days depending on the size of the yurt and the number of people who come to work in that yurt (Minimum 2 members per team).
During the self-construction workshop we will provide you with accommodation (included in the price) in a yurt with all kinds of comforts just 5 minutes by car from the workshop.
Stevie is the typical kid who has spent more hours in front of the computer than under the sun and without having used a drill in his life he managed to make himself a yurt.
