Legality of temporary removable structures

In Spain there is no legal framework that regulates the installation of temporary removable structures (pergolas, tents, yurts, tents, tents, etc.) regardless of the type of terrain. In other words, in Spain it is not necessary to have any type of permit to install a Yurt or other type of temporary removable structure. When installing a yurt or any other temporary removable structure, it is very important.

Do not cement directly to the floor or to do any type of permanent work unless you have permission to do so, otherwise, it could be considered a fixed and permanent structure.

Land Types

In Spain there are 3 types of land:

En España por lo general existen 3 tipos de terrenos: Urban, Urbanizable and Non-Urban. Urban land is any land where a building already exists. The Urbanizable is anyone in which a building could be built and the Non-Urban one is anyone in which, by general rule, building is not allowed.

A lot of people refer to non-urban land as rustic since a large part of the land is in areas classified as rustic. A yurt can be temporarily installed on all 3 types of terrain no need for licenses and permits as long as they are temporarily installed and the legislation applicable to the land in question does not explicitly prohibit or limit it.

License or Habitability Cell

A yurt can be permanently or permanently installed on all 3 types of land by requesting licenses and permits from the relevant authorities.

In Spain, for a structure to be considered housing, it must have a habitability license or permit. To do this, the type of land must legally be able to be developed or allowed to build a building so that such removable or fixed structures are considered as tenement.

It is true that most people choose yurts to avoid this type of paperwork, but in places where legally possible, you can request a certificate of habitability or license for a yurt.

Celtic Yurts does not manage or process permits or licenses for the regularization of structures. If necessary, it must be processed by the customer.

Prices

Los pricing that are shown on the website do not have VAT and do not include transport or installation. The yurt and the platform are sold separately, making it easier for the customer to choose between purchasing both, or buying only the yurt and building the platform themselves. Every yurt must stand on a platform to avoid moisture problems.

All yurts include the basic yurt kit which in turn includes a practicable door made of a PVC sheet, a layer of insulation and a practicable transparent dome. If you want to add more windows, stove, insulation or any other extra, this will entail an additional cost for the customer. Also, if instead of a single-leaf door, a double-leaf openable door were desired, the difference would be paid.

By default, the roof of the yurts will be in champagne color, unless you prefer to select any other color from the specific catalog offered by the supplier, paying the extra cost that this implies. On the other hand, for the wall color you can select any of the colours from our wide palette at no extra cost.

If you want to ask for a price for your yurt, do not hesitate to contact our sales representatives and they will prepare a detailed budget.

The domes can be opened on one side and by default have an endless spindle driven by a crank, although they can be replaced by an electric hydraulic motor with remote control for a small extra cost.

PVC tarp

The PVC canvas plays a very important role for the yurt, which is to keep inclement weather at bay, preventing water and wind from penetrating. This is why we are committed to quality manufacturers for this important element. The champagne-colored roof is from the manufacturer SAULEDA (technical sheet) and has a weight of 640 g/m² and a 5-year warranty on the material. The PVC canvas for the walls is from the manufacturer Serge Ferrari (technical sheet) and has a weight of 570 g/m² and a 10-year warranty on the material.

The insulation is composed of a layer of aluminum, a bubble layer and an aluminum layer, making it ideal for all climates, reflecting the heat of the sun's rays in warm seasons and keeping the heat inside in cold seasons.

All yurts come by default with reflective insulation of a bubble layer (see technical data sheet) and we also offer the option of insulation of double bubble layer (see technical data sheet) for climates of more extreme cold and heat with an extra cost.

The Yurt Floor

The floor of the yurt is placed above the platform and different types can be installed. At Celtic Yurts we don't install floors.

You can install natural wood, vinyl, ceramic, rubber parquet floors, etc. You can contact your local flooring supplier to recommend which one is best for your yurt.

We do not recommend installing PVC flooring because it has a very low deformation temperature coefficient.

Sandwich Panel

The yurt platforms are all made with the manufacturer's Sandwich panel Caliplac (see technical data sheet) composite of OSB class 3 (Hydrophobic) on both sides and 8cm of extruded polystyrene (XPS) that ensures easy assembly, durability and insulation from cold and humidity.

Outdoor wood

All the wood on the platform is treated with an outdoor treatment of autoclave with copper salts. Ensuring its durability and resistance to moisture and fungi outdoors.

Concrete Blocks

The concrete blocks are prefabricated by the manufacturer Pregalco directly with the anchor for the wooden posts of the platform. These blocks must be partially buried on a layer of gravel for proper drainage.

Maintenance

Modern Yurts made with PVC Vinyl They don't need much maintenance. It is recommended to spray the outer canvas with water to clean it of dust, dirt and plant matter. If it is necessary to wash any stains from the canvas, specific neutral products should be used and it is not recommended to completely clean them with acidic or corrosive products that may compromise the finishes.

In the case of wood inside the yurt, it is not necessary, but raw linseed oil can be given every 2 or 3 years to ensure its finish.

In the case of outdoor wood, no maintenance is necessary. The inner cotton fabrics can be machine washed at a temperature of between 30º and 60º.
